About Steve Bauer

Steve began his radio career in 1970 as a high-school senior at a college radio station. In 1974, he joined KBUL (country) and, after a break, returned in 1989 for severe-weather coverage across multiple Wichita, Kansas stations.

In 2000, Steve launched shows on ACB Radio Interactive (country and Smooth Jazz USA). In 2003, he moved to KRBB-FM and created The Sunday Jazz Brunch, a three-hour contemporary jazz program.

“When you really look at it, Rock ’N’ Roll came out of jazz and it’s amazing how closely the two music styles are related.”
“The radio bug bit me as a kid and I’m still in love with radio and truly enjoy being on the air.”
